I Believe

Virtually poetry in motion, through the medium of dance and song, we have endeavoured to evocatively capture the sublime spirit of the human being, that can soar despite all odds.
Thematically
based on the philosophy — I believe,
so I can and I will, 'I Believe' reflects
the positivity and the energy which assures
you that nothing is impossible. It is uplifting
in the sense of morphing ordinary moments
of life into something spell-bindingly spectacular.
As
one read in this beautiful book, 'The Secret',
if you aspire for something with passion,
you can make it happen, and the entire universe
converges to give it to you. In some way,
there is the alchemist, the God, the spiritual
in each of us. We have tried to bring this
to the fore.
On
another plane, 'I Believe' is our endeavour
to highlight our wonderfully creative Indian
talent, and stoke an environment for innovation
in art, through original masterpieces.
In this dazzling yet soul-stirring show
of 'I believe', we have Shiamak who draws admirably
from The Shiamak Davar Dance Companies,
international saxophonist Nigel Hitchcock
(from the UK) Hollywood star and world
champion salsa dancer Katya Virshilas (of
Take the Lead and Shall We Dance fame),
David Taylor, a lighting designer of international
repute and a theatre consultant from New
York, and Clarinda Salandy, the animated
puppetry wizard from the UK. Fali Unwala
is the set design consultant. Together, this
troupe will transpose the audience to a
totally different world in every act.
'I Believe' is slated to be held at the NCPA's
Jamshed Bhabha auditorium, Nariman Point
from November 12 through the 18th at 8.00
pm. Tickets are being sold at NCPA, Rhythm
House in Kala Ghoda and the St. Andrews
auditorium in Bandra.
